I hope you had a wonderful long weekend with your families. I hope you found time to have fun and relax and recharge!
Here's a look at some of the learning we did in our classroom last week!
- We looked into the real story of the First Thanksgiving and considered the perspectives of both the Native Americans and the settlers
- We discussed student council speeches, shared, and voted on our student council representative!
- Worked on challenging math tasks to show our learning of multiplication and division - we are working on showing all of our work, drawing neat pictures, and making sure we answer the question.
- Started our journey with Choose Love! I will be emailing home a letter introducing the Choose Love program to you so you are able to discuss with your children at home.
- We worked on writing stronger 3rd grade sentences during our literacy centers - a sentence needs to say who or what and what they are doing! It also always needs a capital letter and punctuation.
- We learned about long a spelling patterns and practiced them during literacy centers.
I will be emailing home a conference sign up. Part of these will be student-led so your child will attend. If there is not a time on the sign up that works for you please let me know.
