It has been such a pleasure meeting with each of you at our student led conferences! I am so impressed with their reflections, preparation, and presentations! If at anytime you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
A look at this week:
- Planned and started our nonfiction research projects (either a person or animal). We will be writing nonfiction books to share what we learned!
- Explored and played with science materials to come up with testable questions
- Planned and conducted an experiment using either magnets or water, eye droppers, pennies, and tinfoil
- In math we have started rounding to the nearest ten and hundred using a number line
- In Choose Love, we talked about using the word CALM to help us solve problems with our friends and build positive relationships. This week we learned that the C stands for Cooperate. We will stop and choose to cooperate!
- Friday we did a 3 Act Math Task and chose a Wonderopolis question to learn about and share in our Wonder Showcase! You can visit the Wonderopolis website here!
- I received a few questions on book recommendations. I am going to work to put together a list of good high interest third grade books.
- Due to our choppy week, we will have the same spelling words again next week.
